My condolences to the entire Wills family.

Happy Birthday, Mike!!

But...you have a cutesie framed saying (Cats Rule, Dogs Drool) and a lava lamp in the man room.  Somehow...I think that speaks volumes about you!!!

Thank you, Peggy!

We have one more performance left - tonight at 7:30.  The show runs just an hour and 45 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission.  And as Peggy said, the gym is quite comfortable, regardless of the temperature outside!

Yes, Chan Cooley, the post master.  He always gave a Brachs caramel to kids when they went into the post office.  And later, when I would walk down with my dog, he also had dog biscuits, too.  My dog got very used to those biscuits.  He knew one was coming so he waited so patiently outside the door!

Thank you, Henry for adding the photo!

Dick, I often times wonder what Ernie would think.  But I do know that many of my theatre roots are because of him and my parents' involvement with the school drama.  Some of my most favorite school memories are helping build sets and watching rehearsals.

Opening night was a wonderful success.  Please come and help us celebrate our anniversary.  I realize it is a very hot week, but we are doing all we can to keep the "theatre" as cool and comfortable as possible!

The cast includes: Alice Wright, Amanda Graves, Bob Martin, CJ Holcomb, Jerry Starks, Kim Ward, Lisa Steele, Margie Cain, Mary Taylor, Meg Willey Cossaboom, Nancy Benoit, Nikki Juvan, Paul Lavallee, Peggy Bonesteel, Peggy Bushey, Peter Harrington, Ron Caldwell, San Harrington, Terri Kneen, Tim Stetson, Rosie Newton, Jen Martin, Candice Bryan Broe, and Ian Ogelby.

Please join us as we celebrate 20 years of theater and community.

On April 15, 1991 a group of community members, some with theater experience and many with simply a desire to try, met to discuss the idea of starting a local theatre group. By the end of the meeting, a production crew had volunteered, a show picked, audition and show dates decided. In August of that year, “South Pacific” was presented…and The Fairfax Community Theatre Company (FCTC) was born. Since then, the company has presented up to 4 shows a year for a total of 50 productions – including such shows as “Annie,” “1776,” “The Importance of Being Earnest,” “Harvey,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

General Discussion / Re: Snack survey in Fairfax?
« on: June 30, 2011, 10:03:05 PM »
I was at my friend's house in Essex this evening.  These guys came to his door!  He said the van was grey colored, or so he thought.  There were three men - one who came to the door and two others in the van.

The guy at the door had a basket and tried to give it to my friend.  He simply said, I'm sorry I have company, so the guy walked away.

So...Fairfax is not alone.

Nice one, big brother.  :-)

Norton, really a 3 ft tall baseball field fence is hardly a billboard I believe that is really just Common sense.  If that's a billboard then why is it OK to put out garage sale or yard sale signs?

Actually, Josh, that is a "small billboard".  These signs are there year-round and not just during the Little League season - correct me if I am wrong about that.  I have always disliked them, personally. (I am a big supporter of the billboard law.)  However, I would go along with Trevor's idea of moving them to the other side of the field, so they faced into the playing field and could sort of be seen from the road.

The garage sale signs are temporary...these are not.

So if you crave the eggs benedict from when VBC was open or their homemade bread or granola, and their logger french toast, just 10 minutes from where VBC was :-)

You must have super speed on your car, MK...it takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to Jeffersonville from my house.  ;-)

I have only been there once and had a horrible meal.  I've talked with other people who had the same experience.  I haven't returned since.  And considering the lack of vehicles in the parking lot whenever I drive by...

Happy birthday, Uncle Art!!

Thank you Katrina.  I do have to say I haven't heard any snowmobiles since this topic hit the forum.  But school vacation hasn't started yet.
