Little know fact,

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in County Mayo, Ireland.  In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York.

This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.... But as we know....the great ship did not make it to New York....The ship hit an iceberg and sank .... and the cargo was forever lost....

The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery .... were disconsolate at the loss....
Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning which they still observe to this day.... The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th.... and is known....of course....as Sinko de Mayo....

Mid 40's and sunny here.

Washed the vehicle in the driveway for the first time since October.

Must be "the other white meat" day because I have a pork loin to grill this afternoon.

Roku has a free CBSNEWS app, they even have a YouTube one now.
They even have FOX if you like listening to people yell at each other.

If you set up your subscriptions in YouTube you can get any news source you want commercial free and pick what items you want to watch.
For local news you setup OTA. Over The Air Antenna.

Hulu is for movies and tv shows.
All the movies Netflix "lost" went to Hulu.

Look at the Rokus on roku.com.

I am sayig Rokus because I don't know anything about AppleTV.

What is your internet like?
Speeds up and down and data caps?

We cut the cable tv cord a few years back.
Between over the air antenna, Hulu via internet, Roku3 and 4, and "other means" we haven't looked back at traditional cable or satellite.

The Broken Lizard comedy troupe has begun production “Super Troopers 2,” six months after raising $4.4 million in a crowdfunding campaign for the sequel.

The campaign had been the second-most successful crowdfunding campaign for a movie. It was funded through  Indiegogo with over 50,000 contributors and raised  77% of the $5.7 million record for crowdfunding for a film, set by the “Veronica Mars” movie on Kickstarter in 2013.

Perks offered as incentives that were sold on the first day included a producer title for $10,000, a speaking actor role for $10,000, a trip to the ballpark with the main actors for $15,000 and the patrol car to be used in the filming for $35,000.

“Super Troopers 2” met the initial goal of $2 million in 26 hours. Fox Searchlight agreed to release the sequel if the $2 million goal was met.

“Super Troopers 2” reunites all five Troopers from the original film — Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske. The quintet play goofy Vermont state troopers with a penchant for pranks and feuding with other local law enforcement officers.

“Super Troopers” was made for $1.2 million and acquired by Fox Searchlight at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. It grossed $23 million worldwide.

Broken Lizard also made 2004’s “Club Dread” and 2006’s “Beerfest,” which grossed $20 million. The troupe performed in “Broken Lizard Stand Up” for Comedy Central in 2010.

Stolhanske shared a photo on Instagram from the set with Heffernan as production got underway.

I bet that watching Ed working in a basement is sorta like those bear cams they have set up at Katmai.
Can you live stream that when he is down there?
I would PAY to watch that!

As for the "moon" comment, he IS a plumber, so an exposed cracked is mandatory.
It's in their plumbers oath they take at the swearing in ceremony.

I got one better.

Last week I was delivering a bid on a school.

The office called me to give me the final number,

$25,850,625.00. (random large number)

No sweat.

Wrote in the NUMBER on the line and then realized I needed to write out the number in words below it.

Age of debit cards and online payments made me forget the written language.

Good thing I had a pad of paper with me to write out a couple times.

But not knowing where to put a stamp???

Pouring concrete on frozen ground in cold temps?

If that is the case, THIS wall will not stay up long.

Anchorage Alaska is about 60 degrees warmer.

In the past 24 hrs, now being 4:37pm 2/25/2015, we have ranged between +24F at the low and +39 at the high.

Right NOW it is +35.

Oh, and we've had NO snow.

Just saying
