The Selectboard had already made the decision to use Casella before we voted on a non binding vote.

I went to Dartmouth for my back surgery 6 years ago and came out unable to walk. To this day I use a cane and walker.

General Discussion / Triplex
« on: February 29, 2016, 06:41:04 PM »
Our "friend" Handy is at it again.  Triplex where he tore down the big building on the corner.  Any suggestions on how to stop him?  Our town fathers and zoning can't seem to do it.  He is filling up our sewage.  He better not get any water permits. I think he probably has used up his plus.

I am looking for a few old bureau  drawers.  Would even take the old bureau and get rid of it for you.

I strongly agree with you Barb. I think at least we should go with the Solid Waste District for at least a year to allow the Selectboard ample time to put this article out to bid the way that it should be rather than trying to get it done in a month and a half.   Jim Meunier

General Discussion / Erica's
« on: October 02, 2015, 07:25:44 AM »
Jim and in went to Erica's Wednesday night..  Jim had open face roast beef w/ff and gravy, and it had open face hamburg w/ff and gravy.  Will certainly be going back at least once a week.  Was very good.  Thought the prices were ok..  Service was good and very friendly.  If we want a restaurant in town we have to support it.  Good luck Ron and Linda.

I was talking to a guy from there and they are hoping to open by the end of September.  No one has any idea how bad the restaurant is inside.

Heard from a good source that Linda will be opening it.  Have never been to Linda's in St. Albans but have heard nothing but good things about it.  Jim and I put our heart and soul  in it when we built it.  I knew nothing about running a restaurant and then Sam dropped in.  It can be a successful restaurant if only Gabe would help.  I don't think Mr Handy gives2 ****s about our town.  All he sees are dollar signs.  And please do not say he is a business man.  My husband was one and he never put the screws to any one.  But then again, he is one of a kind.

Sam does not own it.  Our "friend" Gabe Handy still owns it.

My personal feeling is that the owner will build back on that corner if the Sel. Board does not give him what he wants.  Blackmail?  It seems to me the State could step in because of the corner and no parking.  Just my opinion.

If Sam does not get any kind of backer he will not open.  He needs money to fill propane tank and buy food.  I myself feel it will not open.
