Dear Library Friends, I am writing to share with you the news that I will be leaving the Fairfax Community Library, and that my last day here will be Monday, August 27th.
It has been such a pleasure to serve and get to know everyone in this wonderful community for the past eight years. Thank you for making working here so delightful!
Change can be hard, but it is also an opportunity. I know the Library Trustees are working diligently to conduct a thorough search for a new Director and Program Planner. There will likely be an interim Director for several months. Because of all these changes, September and October will likely be rather quiet as far as programs. Rest assured that Nicole and I will be helping the new people learn the ropes when they are on board.
I will be joining the Waterbury Public Library as their new Director. I will miss the wonderful patrons here, but also look forward to the new challenges and opportunities that a new job provides.
All the best, Debbie Landauer

Take a stroll down the bike path and enjoy reading a story page by page. It starts near the pavilion and runs the entire length of the bike path. There will be a new story every month from May through October!
This wonderful opportunity is brought to you by a grant from RiseVT and partnership between the Fairfax Community Library and the Fairfax Parks & Recreation Department.
Join in the kick-off party on Saturday, May 19th (rain date June 9th) from 10-12 at the Rec. Path. Bouncy House, refreshments, games for kids! Fun for all Ages. And of course, walk the path and read the May book: First Peas to the Table.
