Little know fact,
Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in County Mayo, Ireland. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York.
This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.... But as we know....the great ship did not make it to New York....The ship hit an iceberg and sank .... and the cargo was forever lost....
The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery .... were disconsolate at the loss.... Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning which they still observe to this day.... The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th.... and is known....of course....as Sinko de Mayo....

The Broken Lizard comedy troupe has begun production “Super Troopers 2,” six months after raising $4.4 million in a crowdfunding campaign for the sequel.
The campaign had been the second-most successful crowdfunding campaign for a movie. It was funded through Indiegogo with over 50,000 contributors and raised 77% of the $5.7 million record for crowdfunding for a film, set by the “Veronica Mars” movie on Kickstarter in 2013.
Perks offered as incentives that were sold on the first day included a producer title for $10,000, a speaking actor role for $10,000, a trip to the ballpark with the main actors for $15,000 and the patrol car to be used in the filming for $35,000.
“Super Troopers 2” met the initial goal of $2 million in 26 hours. Fox Searchlight agreed to release the sequel if the $2 million goal was met.
“Super Troopers 2” reunites all five Troopers from the original film — Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske. The quintet play goofy Vermont state troopers with a penchant for pranks and feuding with other local law enforcement officers.
“Super Troopers” was made for $1.2 million and acquired by Fox Searchlight at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. It grossed $23 million worldwide.
Broken Lizard also made 2004’s “Club Dread” and 2006’s “Beerfest,” which grossed $20 million. The troupe performed in “Broken Lizard Stand Up” for Comedy Central in 2010.
Stolhanske shared a photo on Instagram from the set with Heffernan as production got underway.

My Playstation3 was one of the 1st generation ones. It went down for the count 3 weeks ago. When I did get it, it was the cheapest way to get a Blueray Player We only used it to watch Netflix, Hulu +, and watch backed up copies of movies off of DVDs and Bluerays, mostly Bluerays, ran through my media computer. I have seen blueray players around $80.00 at Costco and Sam's Club. They run both Nextflix and Hulu. BUT I am using the media pc that is networked with my tv and using it and these to fill the gap. Video Lan Media Player - Despite what VLN states on their site and forums, there are work arounds to playback bluerays if you have a BD-ROM http://www.videolan.org/vlc/This will play any video format you through at it Media Center http://xbmc.org/about/XBMC is open source, like Video Lan, and has tons of addons http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=3rd_party_add-on_repositorieshttp://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add-onsThe added bonus is that I got my Playstation 3 bluetooth remote to work within the gui.

My "evaluation" copy of MS Office 2010 expired and I stumbled upon this. http://www.libreoffice.org/download/I've used Open Office, another excellent free alternative, before so I wanted to try something different. Libre does open a little slow at 1st but does handle all of the current MS files. Also allows you to save your files as a pdf like Open Office.

The kid came back home from TX, there goes our naked Wednesday Nights,,,,, another story and topic. ANYWAY................. The kid and I stress tested my wireless router, http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DIR-825. He can stream BluRay like a mofo 3 stories up via his PS3. I have the movies stored on an external hard drive, connected to my media pc, running the PS3 Media Server software. I was amazed at the quality of the wireless. Need a router, get the 825....

If you are expecting a typical Will Ferrell movie, skip it. Typical being "Old School" and "A Night at the Roxbury".
But I liked it. I am easily amused.
Darkish humor..
