Budget travel is holding a contest for the best small town in America -
Although Fairfax is not on the list two, two Vermont towns are.

Vergennes and Montpelier - currently Owego NY is in the lead, but I thought it would be great if we could get some votes out!

hi everyone -
I'm putting together a slideshow for a bridal shower that I'm one of the hosts for this sat. I'm hoping to find a LCD projector I could borrow. It would be for this Sat. June 21st from 2-5pm (I also need one for July 13th when I'm throwing my mom a surprise party)

The winner is Fairfax Pharmacy   with 50 duck ticket sales!

It is 2:30am and  the ducks counted and almost ready for their swim tomorrow.

Current News & Events / essex native - Carissa Gump on today show today june 3

I know it is not exactly fairfax news - but Carissa Gump a 2001 graduate of Essex High School will be on the today show today - she recently placed 2nd at the Olympic trials and is gong to be in the beijing olympics for weightlifting. I had carissa as one of my campers when I was a camp counselor back home and I was good friends with her older sister.

Our ducky race ticket sales are in the second week of the challenge to sell the most ducky tickets. Please support your parks and recreation department by buying a duck for the duck race at a local business.

I challenged the businesses in fairfax to sell the most ducks for the ducky race.  Each friday I will check in to see who is in the lead - duck tickets sold as of noon on 5/9/08
