The Haunted house is coming! This friday! We need volunteers to help decorate! To finish building sets! We will be preparing for the haunted house from noon to 10pm tonight! Stop by and help if you can! We are also in need of the following items still!

The Haunted House is coming soon!
We need set builders this weekend
Schedule is as follows
Schedule this week:
Friday evening: 6-8pm Drop off any building materials.
Saturday 9am - 3pm - Building sets
Sunday - 3-8pm - Drop off for any non building materials. Construction continues.
Please come help if available!

The Fairfax Egg Run is our largest fundraiser - it supports all the community programs in town that are "free" like the egg hunt, the tree lighting, the halloween parade, 4th of july parade.. this event is one of the largest in fairfax and it needs committed volunteers to happen. Thank you to those who volunteer and have committed already - We need more to make this event happen successfully. We are in need of kayakers and canoeists for the 21st annual Ducky Race on this thursday July 4, 2013 - Ducks enter the water around 3:15pm and they are herded down to the finish line in the park - We are keeping an eye on the water. We are decorating for the haunted house Monday - Friday 5:30pm -8:00pm
At the Baptist Building.
We need volunteers to help decorate and build and artist to paint.

The following is a list of items we need for the haunted house, scheduled for October 26, 27 and 31st -
We will be tagging each item when it is brought in, we will take donated items as well as item to be used and returned to the owners.
Below is the list of items - we will have specific drop off times. I will post them by the end of today, but start looking around your house! Thank you so much! The CFC, Fairfax Parks and Rec and NHS are hosting a Haunted house in the baptist bldg on October 26, 27 and 31st - we need decorations, furniture, and lots of volunteers to decorate and be scary! There will also be a nonscary little kids section!

Yesterday, I was working downstairs when I heard a truck backing up- I didn't think it was my driveway, so I didn't look right away, when I went upstairs to look, I saw a large white truck looking some thing like a glass truck backing out of the driveway, it went out and up buck hollow. So I would think the delivery would be further up buck hollow or a road off of it. I left to go to a meeting a hour later and that when I saw the major damage that the truck had created..it must have been stuck in my driveway for a while, deep ruts all over, collapsed the culvert - I know it's unlikely but I thought I would try.

Our cat went missing Monday evening/Tuesday morning, she always comes in when I call her.
She's 11 and we've had her since she was a kitten.
completely Grey, no collar (she lost it earlier this summer) so you can see where she had one...
Her name is shadow. Extremely friendly.
I'll try to get a photo up soon.

the 20th annual ducky race is July 4th this year.

Readers digest has sweepstakes award contest - that the town that gets the most votes gets $50,000 for community activities/renovations. Last year a town of just 150 people won using social media. Contest ends 3/12/12.

Hello -
The park was vandalized sunday night and Monday - I wrote a grant for a storywalk, and we have 12 stories now, and Cody has been putting a new one in every two weeks. Sunday night and Monday night - each one was ripped up and the stakes that secure them were broken. Please keep your eyes out and let me know if you see or hear anything.
