Picture of the Day April 5, 2009

A very full Lamoille River Friday.

ICK!!
We saw evidence of the ol' "Higher Elevations" that Sharon Meyer and Gary Sadowsky always talk about.
Margie and I went out to St. Albans late Saturday afternoon to get groceries. Coming back via interstate, it was raining. Up on Fairfield Hill, you could see snow piling up in open fields.
Then as we got onto Rt. 104 near Collins Perley, the temperature and snow-rain-mix altered as we came home. It would be a mix in one spot, be all snow near Windtop, then back to rain the village side of the Joyal Fuel Tanks. Then as we passed the intersection of 104/104A, you could see snow on the ground up on Georgia Hill.
We stayed rain here in the village.
It will be interesting to here who got what amounts of snow.
I haven't put out a new rain gauge, but I'm guessing all told we got near a good half to one inch of rain.
