Totally agree. I live in Vergennes and I still think they are the best in the state! Great job Donald, DJ and Pat!

I agree!  I drove from Fairfax, thru Fletcher to Fairfield this morning.  Can definitely tell that Fairfax's town crew is the best out of all 3 towns.

Our Road Crew is Excellent!  I know when I hit a town line for sure.  Thank you Road Crew for making our journey safe!

We definitely do have the best road crew! Not only do they do a great job of keeping our roads safe, they are just a good bunch of guys! Courteous, polite, friendly!!! Cheers for our road crew!  Hey, maybe they can talk to the state guys & show them how to keep roads safe & how to fill the holes!!!!

I also noticed a few of the really BIG craters on Main Street were filled.  I am guessing the state didn't pop back into town, but our road crew did it.

I can't even begin to say how impressed I am with our crew.  We live on a hilly dead end road and a road that could be easily forgotten about is better and more easily traveled than most state roads! They are quite simply THE BEST!

Every once in a while I go down to the Town Garage and check out what else is going on.  These guys have a lot of Yankee Ingenuity - They did a lot of their own work on their latest new truck transferring stuff from the old one that was still good do they did not have to buy new - They built their own hot pack unit saving thousands of dollars for patching holes in the blacktop - Perhaps their biggest undertaking was the River Road Bridge near Fairfax Salvage - I am sure they are up to something new again that will save the town money

Agree with all that's been said.

I was wondering where do they get the sand they use during the winter?
