Current News & Events / Re: Trucks May Deliver Natural Gas Locally
« on: June 01, 2014, 04:07:17 PM »
If this happens, Ed, you may want to stock the "conversion kits".

I know we've received owner supplied "gas" appliances.
The appliances we incorrectly ordered for propane but we were hooking to natural gas.
The units wouldn't even ignite.
Plumbers order "conversion kits" and swap them.

Is that because they were newer appliances and have a safety "feature"

The thread topic intrigue me....

Oh well.

If "waste water" in the article is the same as "storm water", then it is no big deal.
It's far from ideal, yes.

The river will flush itself out.

The real positive thing is that it isn't sewage.

Rain gardens are collection points to let the water to percolate back into the ground leaving the sediment in the garden and not reach bodies of water or waste water systems.
http://www.raingardennetwork.com/

General Contractors, Civil Contractors, Fed and State DECs usually call them sediment ponds.

Look around newer larger parking lots, you will see some sort of sediment ponds.
Especially newer Walmarts.
They are to keep and treat all of that parking lot run off on their site.

Most of us call them black lagoons.

I like what Bill Murray did in Caddyshack.....

It seemed to sort of work but was a little tough on the landscaping.

Current News & Events / Re: Pond On Amoskeag Property
« on: April 03, 2014, 12:21:20 PM »
The area around the pond could have frozen deeper this year not allowing to water perk back into the ground.

The past few major retail projects I have been on with "outside" designers have had "roof leaks" or "frozen" drains.

The designers do not go deep enough with their drain pipes into the existing storm water system.

These new drain pipes freeze underground before hitting the existing storm water system and back up in the buildings.
The underground is not heat traced so the owners need to steam thaw those pipes at the clean outs or man holes before the snow starts melting off of the roof.

Wow, way more info than needed, sorry

... and now on www. Keurig.com, Enjoy 15% off all packs + free shipping thru 4/6. Use Code APRILFOOLS

They seem to always have some pricing discount.
I usually get 5 (24pk) to get the free shipping.

Still even cheaper than local Costco and Amazon. Amazon jacked up their minimum Free shipping.

I have been ordering direct from Keurig and getting free shipping.
I think THEY think AK is Arkansas but as long as I get it, I ain't complaining.

Ordering direct from them is even cheaper than local Costco.
