Have an appointment with a Specialist who deals with Epidural Shots - Hopefully this works out - Some people it works on and others it does not.

Mike Cain got a good shot of the bridge from the brook - Due to OSHA Regulations, I believe, especially when they are working they won't let you close to the job, but it shouldn't be long now and we will be travelling over the bridge.

Today is Prime Rib Day at Steeples.

Watched the news the other night and they did a segment on flags and how you should not fly a tattered flag.  Went down to J & L and got myself a new one.  Will try to catch someone in The American Legion and see if they will dispose of a couple flags I have next year on Flag Day.

While at J & L, a guy came up to me and told me he would be riding by my house shortly.  He is one of the bikers who goes by and waves.  He introduced himself to me and told me he lives up in Fletcher.  Told Maryann when I got home how nice it was to have a friendly stranger come up and introduce themselves.  She was quick on the reply and said, "Well, with an Irish last name like that, of course he is friendly."

I try to wave at people when they go by.  Learned that from Ralph Ellsworth.  Ralph used to wave everytime he went by my house, whether anybody was around or not.  Asked him about it once and he said, just want to make sure in case I didn't see you that I waved.  Wonderful neighbors, Ralph & Ruth.

Ralph's distinctive wave and greeting:  Head down, hand up, arm at a 45(ish) degree angle.  Not exactly a "hi," but more like a clipped "hoy."  (I do a perfect imitation....)
He was a great guy!  He and Ruth are legendary in my mind.

Henry, Hope your injection works. I had a transforaminal injection in lumbar region the winter and it worked wonderful.

Got some promising news from Dr. Tarver along with notes from a number of people who have had some success like FletcherGram.  At my age 15 more years would be great for the spine as that will put me into my 90s.

I go June 30th and he will do three or so diagnostic test numbing shots after which I am to go out and see if I can create the pain.  If I can't "Bingo."  If I still have pain, will try three or so more numbing shots and hope to catch the right spots.  Once the find the right spots he will then inject the cortisone and all should be good for a year or so.

I will try going without the cane, but it won't be far away if I need it.  Bottom line, all is looking "Good."

It will be three years for me in August of not needing another injection!  Dr. Tarver is amazing and I won't go to anyone else!

I don't know who Dr Tarver is but s/he sounds great. I've been to pain clinic on Tilley Drive, as well as ortho, spine center all on Tilley Drive. One shot, so far so good.

I am so glad the shots work for some people.  I went to Dr. Tarver, and bless his heart he tried every shot there was plus Radio Frequency Abrasion, but nothing worked on me.  Will be going to Dartmouth this Thurday for a back operation.  Bone out, rods in.
