IF you have a PS3, the FREE PS3 Media Server software is awesome.
I am just now digging into it.
mkv fiiles!!!

I backed up a movie that I legally own, in MP4 format.
I ran it from my Home Theater Computer to my PS3 and then to my TV AND it looked like the real deal......

I need to test it thru Windows Media Center to see if it REALLY looks better...

T-Man??? Any testing on your end??

No... No testing here.  No PS3 yet (although with today being a sales-tax-free day in VT, and me with a wad of Birthday cash... hmm...).  Oh, and I don't have internet access either.
