Here's a great pie crust recipe:

2 cup shortening (Crisco/margarine/lard)
½  cup boiling water
¼  teaspoon salt
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder

Have shortening at room temperature. Pour boiling water over shortening and stir until very creamy. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Roll between two pieces of floured waxed paper while still warm.
Leftover dough can be stored in refrigerator, brought back to room temperature the next day and used. Will make enough dough for a 2 crust pie,  10 inches .

This is the only way I can make a decent pie crust.

Does anyone have a foolproof recipe for baking powder biscuits?
