TOWN MEETING DAY WEATHER
Posted for Wednesday March 4th.................
I used to look forward to Town Meeting Day, because the weather was usually warming up, and water from melting snow started running in the street.
Now, the norm seems to be a snow storm around Town Meeting. If not the Saturday show, then it happens on Tuesday. A few years ago, maybe 5?, we had two feet of snow on Tuesday. This year it happened on the day before.
Then again, I will always remember 1979. The only time Town Meeting was on a Monday night, as the Lamoille River was ovrrflowing it's banks with spring melting.
Now as I write, the temperature is below zero.
