The BFA Boys Basketball team prepares at this very moment to travel to Lake Region tonight, HUNGRY for payback.  The players, coming off 2 post-season wins, are feeling the flow and determined heading into tonight's match-up.  Lake Region's defense will pressure BFA's preimter shooting and will look to deny BFA any inside presence.  BFA will need to use it's fast-paced movement of the ball, fierce attacks on the basket, and positioning to grab key rebounds to over throw the Lake Region regime.

Energy is the KEY and BFA's FAN BASE usually provides BFA with immense amounts of it.  GO BULLETS!

If you can't make the game,
and you have DSL,
you're in luck !!!

Go to www.nwvtsports.net
and hold your cursor over "Videos"

From the drop down menu,
select "Live Games"

Click on # 1 Lake Region vs. # 4 BFA Fairfax at 6:20pm
and you should see pre-game.

Game time is 6:30pm.

I checked the Free Press online, and saw the score.
BFA 77 Lake Region 37
Holy cow!
I really don't believe it.
Never thought they would blow out an undefeated team.

I can't believe today's technology.  Thanks for the link Chris - I went up and watched it for a bit in the 4th quarter when it was 65 to 35, so went and watched American Idol as I figured it was a sure win for them.

BFA-Fairfax’s Seth Rebeor lays the ball up in front of Lake Region’s Jon Jarry in the Bullets’ 77-37 semifinal in Thursday.

Henry                1600 miles away, with the help of several Fairfax friends and fans who called or e-mailed me, I'm still reveling in the success of the Bullets last night and wishing them the best of luck against Hazen Saturday afternoon. I'm not sure if there has ever been as convincing a win in the VPA tournament , going back as far as I can remember ( and that's a stretch !!!! ) by a # 4 seeded team in beating a # 1.
However, as their coach has probably told them, that win only assures the team of being in the final and the onus is still on them to perform, which I know they can do, big crowd or not .
From many miles away I echo the chant we used to hear and take pride in.....BFA,BFA,BFA.

Hello all,
Mr. Brown - I'm very much thinking there will be a huge crowd. There were reputed to be over 500 on Thursday!
Half the town still turns out. It's nice to know some things don't change.
This will be my first trip down to the Aud. since 1981.
I want to watch the boys bring it home.

PS: Still sinking those half court shots? :)

Cindy     Good to hear from you.  Enjoy your time tomorrow at the Aud.  If someone helps me up a 10 ' stepladder, located near the basket, I might be able to sink 5 out of 10 before I fall off the steps !!!!  You're right about the crowd and the support from the town.  One of the things we liked about playing in that location was that the Fairfax crowd that followed us ( from the teams I coached in the middle 60's to those great teams in the early 80's ) made it seem like a home game for our players !!!  Remember me to your family.

If they do, the feed should start at 7:20pm.
