ST. ALBANS, Vt. -- Police are warning the public that a Bakersfield man has been designated a high-risk sex offender and that he will likely reoffend.

Jason L. Sanville, 32, has been designated a high-risk sex offender by the Vermont Department of Corrections, according to a statement released by the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations, which made the announcement out of "general public safety concerns."

"A recent Vermont Department of Corrections risk assessment of Jason Sanville determined that Sanville is a high risk to reoffend," the statement says.

Sanville was accused of targeting teenage girls in each of his arrests, according to the statement. Sanville is a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 170 pounds. He has been convicted of three sexual assault charges.

He is supervised by the Vermont Department of Corrections-St. Albans, which can be reached by calling 802-524-6523.

I agree!  Why let him out so he can assault #4.

I certainly haven't done any research on this, but I wonder if the release has anything to do with the court system.....?  I too agree, if he's such high risk, shouldn't he still be locked up or in "treatment"?

according to the Sex Registry page, if you'd like to know why he is listed as "high risk" you can call the the "supervising office" listed.
