Resident Spots Student On Ice On Lamoille River Near Rec Path

It was kind of a scary sight for a Father of some young children when he was driving down the hill from Fairfax Commons and spotted what most likely was a student with a back pack on his back walking on the ice of the Lamoille River.  Since he had his own children with him, he went up and got in touch with Randy Devine who immediately went down to search for the student, but apparently, whoever it was, had gotten off the ice. 

It would be wise to make sure everyone is aware that the ice is not safe, even though it make look safe.  What a terrible thing it would have been had this student fallen through the ice, probably not to be found until spring.
