Fairfax – Brian Eric Barrows, 61 died peacefully Thursday morning December 6, 2007 at his home in Fairfax with his wife at his side after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer).

Brian was born May 22, 1946 in Burlington the son of Ruth (Adams) Barrows of Milton and the late Robert Floyd Barrows.  On August 16, 1986 he married the love of his life and best friend Nancy Louise Wilkins of Fairfax.

In his spare time Brian enjoyed sugaring, ice fishing and hunting.

Brian is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy of Fairfax.  His children, Melissa (Missy) Beaupre and her husband, Howard (Rusty) of Milton, Seth Barrows of Milton and Michelle Barrows and her close friend and companion, Marc Dunn of Johnson.  His mother, Ruth Barrows of Milton, brother, Bruce Barrows and his wife, Linda of Georgia and his sister, Kathy Barrows of Milton.  His four granddaughters, Bethany, Rebecca, Anna and Amber Beaupre of Milton.  His grandmother, Alberta Barrows of Milton and his wife’s sisters and brother, Laura and Jim Woodward, Sally and Wayne Sweet and Robert and Sheryl Wilkins all of Fairfax.  Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special cousin, Randy Barrows and his wife Diane of Milton.  Special friends, Bernice Weston, Loreen and Tim Teer of Westford and Candi Gingras of Milton. Brian also leaves his constant companion, “Wildchild”, his Maine Coon Cat.  He was predeceased by his father Robert Barrows on April 20, 2006.

A very special thank you to Dr’s George Philips, John Fitzgerald, Gino Trevisani and their devoted staffs as well as Franklin County Home Health for all the special care and kindness they gave Brian.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 8, 2007 at 1 pm in the United Church of Fairfax with the Reverend Elizabeth Griffin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sanderson Corners Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions be made to Camp Ta Kum Ta,
P.O. Box 576, Waterbury, VT  05676

Visiting Hours will be Friday, December 7, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Minor Funeral Home located on Route 7 in Milton.
