SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On Thursday, November 20, 2014 at approximately 15:26 hours the Vermont State Police received an alarm at the Union Bank, located at 44 Main Street in the Town of Jeffersonville.   A short time later State Police Dispatch received a 911 call from the bank manager advising that a bank robbery had just occurred at that location.

Troopers from the Lamoille and Williston Barracks responded and secured the scene with assistance from the Lamoille County Sheriff's Department.  A K-9 track was conducted but yielded negative results.

A lone male entered the bank and demanded money from the teller.  No weapon was displayed.  The male suspect fled on foot after receiving a known amount of money.  The suspect was last seen fleeing east toward School Street.

Cambridge Elementary School officials were immediately notified and responding troopers went to the school and met with staff regarding this situation.  Students had already been dismissed for the day, however, after school activities were taking place.   It was determined that there was no direct threat to the school.

The suspect was described as white male 5'6" tall, with a slender build.  The suspect was wearing a black, North Face jacket with a dark hoodie, gray jeans, black or dark colored sneakers, gloves and a partial face mask.

Anyone with information concerning this robbery is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Todd Baxter of the Vermont State Police at 802.635.7036.
