Yes, there are quite a number of responses under General Discussion.

When "Cost of Operation" tops "Revenue" a business can tap into reserves,
but when those reserves run out,
the business closes and the employees are out of work.

In the absence of a restaurant in town, we Just tried the Athena's diner in St Albans this weekend, very good - sister diner (pardon the pun) to the Apollo on Milton and Henry's in Burlington.  It's across from where Nana's was (which is now the St. Albans diner).

regards,
Joe

We tried the Apollo's in Milton a couple months ago, and we thought the food was really good!  Prices were a little more expensive then what the old country pantry use to have, but I didn't think they were terrible.  Its definitely our "breakfast spot" from now on.  The old dinner feel is kinda neat too.

158 Main in Jeffersonville is still my favorite place to eat locally. Jack has a huge local/tourist following there and I have never been disappointed.  So if you crave the eggs benedict from when VBC was open or their homemade bread or granola, and their logger french toast, just 10 minutes from where VBC was :-)

You must have super speed on your car, MK...it takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to Jeffersonville from my house.  ;-)

It's ten miles from VBC to 158 Main St., so my BAD, I drive 55 on 104 so maybe 13.5 minutes. :-)

We eat at 158 Main occasionally and have had great meals and great service there.  Very good food.

The prices at Athena are a bit higher than a typical diner, but 'seemed' lower than VBC.  As long as we're talking diners, Libbey's in Colchester is still awesome, though only open for breakfast and lunch now.

As is Sneakers in Winooski ( definitely NOT typical cheap Diner prices but good food), and Penny Cluse in Burlington.
