Andy Potter and a photoghrapher(Shelly- didn't get a last name, oops.) came to Fairfax Saturday afternoon to do a Preview of the 70th Anniversary of the 1941 BFA Fire. Andy interviewed myself and Art Webb. Art was one of the first people on scene that night, although there wasn't much to do as the place was already engulfed in flames. Art told Andy about that night and provided some interesting info about life back then. Andy then talked to me. The story will be shown on the Channel 3 News at 6pm Monday night. I hope I sound intellegent. I was trying to be during the interview.

Mike,

How about some directions for me to get to the meeting/presentation.  I looked for the announcement, but couldn't seem to find it.  I am pretty sure the meeting is Monday Night at 7 p.m. in the Old Gym.

There is a Varsity Boys Basketball game Monday night, so the main lobby will be unlocked. I am also going to have the entrance by the library unlocked so you can come in that way too.
You know me, I'll be there early to set up.
Would you take some pictures, please, Henry? I think I will be busy.

Mike & Henry       This is great for the town and the school, but especially for those Fairfax residents of 1941 who are still around to compare stories . Your posted photo of Andy Potter in the old gym points out the disparity in both color and tone in the bricks used in the construction of the gym's walls , which as Larry Parsons used to relate to me, was caused by the intense heat of the fire in certain parts of the 1941 building . What a good idea to salvage what they could from the old building to be used in the new ( 1942 ) school.
Have a good time Monday evening .
