Public Flu Clinics Cancelled

Due to the large number of people responding to the early vaccine availability this season, Franklin County Home Health Agency no longer has vaccine available for public flu clinics.

All public seasonal flu clinics scheduled after October 20 have been cancelled.

State-wide public seasonal clinic schedules can be found on the Vermont Department of Health website at

http://healthvermont.gov/prevent/flu/flu_clinics.aspx

Does this include the Nov 12th Fairfax H1N1 Vaccine that was reported on the Franklin One site as well?  That clinic was never reported on the VT health site so I just want to be sure...if anyone knows I would appreciate it.  Forgive me for being naive.  Thank you all

The clinic for November 12th is still on (at this time).
I expect it will be postponed and
I will post info asap on both sites.

I will try to get answers for any questions.

The clinic for November 12 is for students and staff at BFA Fairfax.
Home schooled students are eligible also.

Hey Chris,
I have an email into the VT Health Dept with no response as of yet, however I'm wondering if you would know....I have a 2 1/2 yr old that goes to daycare at the Countryside Childrens center.  As you may or may not know there are 20+ kids that attend that daycare, are these children eligible?  Thank you again

A 2 1/2 year old would not fit the criteria for the November 12 clinic.
I would contact your pediatrician.

On another note, I just got off the phone with Dr. Nasca's office in Georgia.
If your child has (normal) flu-like symptoms, you can treat them at home
with fluids, rest and Tylenol or Ibuprofen for fighting the fever.

If your child has more severe symptoms, don't hesitate, call for an appointment.

Take Care & God Bless,
