Hi All,

I received the following answer from CVPS regarding the Sleeve that caused the problem Sunday night February 13, 2005:

"Henry, I understand you had a question on the power outage on 2/13. A sleeve failed which is another term for a splice. The sleeve is a soft tubular piece of metal that connects the two ends of a wire together and is usually crimped (squeezed) on to the wire. They fail sometimes when we get changes in temperature, from a warm day to cold night. I hope this answers your question, if you need more information, please feel free to call me at 527- 6348 ext 101. Rick Wood."
