The first Nordic State Championship in BFA history, March 4, 2010

The Boys runner-up plaque.

Amazing how political correctiveness has crept into sports. The losing team is no longer the "runners-up". They are now "State finalists". They finished 2nd! They should be proud of what they did, no matter what the team or sport. Everyone else is! They finished 2nd. They were runners-up. Congratulations to both teams!!!

I heard someone did a study on happiness by looking at photos of bronze, silver, and gold medalists at the Olympics. According to the study, the bronze medal winners were happier than the silver. They were happy to have made it to the podium. "Runners-Up" were less happy because they didn't get gold. Interesting....
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
