Wouldn't you know it - I have a Meeting at The St. Albans Heathcare & Rehab Center at 12:30 and Maryann has a Doctor's Appointment at 4 p.m. in Colchester - There are a few flakes of snow falling now and I sure hope they are right and the storm does not get here until tonight.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL VERMONT...AND THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACKS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* 8 TO 12 INCHES IN THE SOUTHERN GREEN MOUNTAINS AND EASTERN ADIRONDACKS...AND 4 TO 8 INCHES IN NORTHERN VERMONT AND THE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY.

* RAIN MAY MIX WITH SNOW WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE FREEZING.

* SNOW WILL BEGIN IN SOUTHERN VERMONT THIS EVENING...AND SPREAD NORTHWARD OVERNIGHT. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FROM SOUTH TO NORTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.
