JPs - A Great Experience

Hi All,

Well, not sure whether I made the cut for Justice of the Peace, but sure hope I did.  It is a wonderful experience.  I met a lot of people whose name I had heard as I checked people in for voting.  We had 22 people running for the 10 positions and I certainly hope that those who did win a spot on The Civil Board are active.  It made a long day for some of the members.  I did not get there until 9 a.m. myself and left a couple of times to run a couple of errands.  We were very fortunate to have Bill Ormerod, Bob Horr and John Mitchell from The Selectboard there.  One long time member was unable to be there due to a planned trip.

It is unfortunate that both Lee Minor and Rita Magnan did not make it in the election.  They are both long time excellent conscientious members of The Board of Civil Authority and when on the Board could always be depended on to be there.

We were very busy, so it was difficult to say much more than a "Hi."  A very steady stream of voters all day long.  Not sure what percentage 1750 is of our total voting population here in town.

Here are the results from the Town Clerk's office - yes Henry you made it!  So did I and 8 others.  Thanks to all who put their name forward.  Look forward to working with the old and new members of the Board.
