Last seen on Fletcher Road 3:30pm yesterday.  Owners are looking for him and his name is Cooper and he has a blue collar on.  If you find him please call 802-849-2195, 802-598-6586. The family really appreciates it!

Congratulations to Laurie!  This will surely help feed her family this winter.

Also, I am not offended in any way.

People were worried that you were missing it this morning Dad.  I got a phone call making sure you knew as they didn't see you there. Can't wait for Steeple Market to re-open!

Great Job Justin on the presentation!  And my Dad is correct, I have learned that I was prepared before, but you can always do better.  Matter of fact Jordan came to my house the other night as I was having an issue with my detectors going off for no reason.  I have learned that the sensitivity of my new detectors means I need some canned air to make sure dust does not collect.  We are changing batteries this weekend and I bought the canned air to blow them out at the same time.  Fall is when I change the batteries every year now.  Don't wait for them to tell you the battery is low is also another important thing I have learned since the fire!

Thanks for all you do Fairfax Fire Department!  Much appreciated!!

Current News & Events / Re: Dialing 911 From A Cell Phone
« on: September 02, 2009, 03:09:52 PM »
This is what happens when using a cell phone and calling 911.

When you dial 911 and it is a Verizon Wireless phone, the cell phones have GPS locators to assist in determining your location.  If you have a Unicel phone they use the cell sites in the area to do a triangulation to determine your location.  I believe AT&T uses the same process as Unicel, but I cannot confirm that.

Of course if you are able to speak when you call 911 on your cell phone, and know where you are located, definitely inform the 911 center of that information.  But it is not the only way they will find you.

Also, when a call is sent to 911, based on the cell site you make the call off of is how it is directed to the appropriate 911 call center.  When you are near State borders, you may reach the NY or NH call center, but they are prepared to handle these calls if they do come in and they route the call appropriately.

On Monday evening Lauri Fisher was involved in a major motorcycle accident in Johnson.  A bear came out of a corn field in front of the car she and her husband Dale were following.  Lauri is in Fletcher Allen and has multiple injuries.   She will be having a couple surgeries within the next week.

Lauri is an amazing woman with incredible strength and terrific support from her husband Dale and family.   She is in great spirits and thanks everyone who has inquired about her.

Feel free to leave messages and regards to her here and I will pass them on to her.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope someone goes and takes in this kitty.  A little love and care is what it needs. Mirjo, I would call BIll and I am sure you can take the kitty.

Mr. Brown was excellent!!  And I had a "few" friends that attending his office often. Once you were in trouble and did what you needed to correct it; you had a clean slate with him.  It was a great way to gain their respect and helped them travel a better path in life in my opinion.
