you can either download Google earth, or go to google maps, type in Fairfax , and then zoom to the center of town. there will be a camera on the road, click on this and it brings you down to street level. pretty cool, you can then navigate down the street via the next camera. also can rotate to look at the sides of the road, and behind. the first time i saw this function was a little creepy as my house has the camera looking right in the front window.

If you google earth, or map Fairfax, and go to the street level tool, they took the photo while the new Steeple market was being built. street view on google is pretty cool tool.

i live 3075 miles away( I google mapped it), and i just cried a little bit. hometown, and community is so important. It is sooooo easy to get wrapped up in your own worries, to have a landmark that has been a part of your whole life come back WOW, are people really going to complain i remember before I went to school in Fairfax that was how you knew where you were. hey there was the steeple in fairfax. then i spent so much time there, when going to school every day when it was late balketball practice, before games, on weekends hanging out. the photos from the top of the hill. i remember taking My son back 2 summers ago and stopping by to get a chocolate bar, and he said daddy this isn't a store it looks like a churc. and i talked to him about what it used to be and what i was now, and how important is was to the town. he got such a kick out of it. be thankful for what is. Loving Fairfax from the great Northwest.

Jackson started first grade this year, and after 3 days came home with a really bad flu bug. Parents if your child is sick DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. I know it is hard and people are worried about having to miss work because things are so tight but really if that one parent would have kept the child at home then the other 8 children who missed time because of it would not have had to go through it. (not to mention 2 nights of no sleep for me as my little guy struggled to breath all night)
