If we save more, why can't we just charge a tiny annual fee to the residents and have the town pay the fee. by the magic of numbers, we pay about the same and have still charged the fee.

Well that's the problem with releasing information and not specifics. You're going to get a lot of guessing. It's also a big change if you're talking about charging people more for something they're already paying for. As commented before, if we have this in place does that mean we'll save on trash costs as a town and the budget will go down more for removal?

Our postage meter at work broke and someone put stamps all around the outside edges on the front for a certified letter. It was amusing.

Far as the census, unless this is wrong, Vermont is smallest or next to. You're right though, based on people per mile, I'd have thought a large state like Wyoming would be number one. Maybe they have issues with reporting stats? Or there might be some other interpersonal problems when you isolated.

Well of course we're safe. No one lives here. That's like saying a house with one person is safer than two. All things being equal you'd be safer if someone else isn't there. There are the situations that the other person could save you but I'm pretty sure you won't usually rob or assault yourself.

I like to put mine on the back.

I was wondering what you do to change leadership in the SU. Seems it's even harder than one would think. School Boards should be able to hire the SU. If the SU runs the show, why even have school boards.

Thanks Tim and DeAnna!!

And for those who do not like celery, they make tuna salad WITHOUT Celery!!!!

Amazing. That's how it should be. Not sure how that green stuff ever got in there.

You build if for public events so that if the school is doing something on election days, you don't have trouble finding parking or walking across a main road. Or because that was one of the reasons talked about when we voted for the new space.

Because the new town office parking lot was poorly designed and there was no thought of the number of spaces, the entry and exit & where the snow would be in March. Woot woot.

i loved the WCAX coverage where they don't have an estimate of the fine revenue lost, the amount of low income people affected or a plan on how to make sure all the people with no licenses who will actually go get insurance.

It's crazy that they didn't refute the claim but backed it. I'm not sure the point of the article other than saying it wasn't an F35 issue but rather a greater issue where we need to reduce heat. If this was truly an issue, it would have been corrected years ago.

The bid process shows that we'd save over other vendors by keeping our busing the way it is but now we're paying our drivers too much so they get less of an increase than other positions at the school. And we move a supervisor to the SU where they would oversee the employee. That sounds like it will work out in the long run. I'm sure the SU won't make any changes once they're supervising.

Microbeads are extremely dangerous because of how far through the food chain they can go. Property tax reform won't happen. I'm wondering how much it would generate to charge vacation homes twice the current rate and get rid of current use.
