It's called Erica's Diner now. My husband and I had dinner there tonight. Friendly staff. It was Packed with people...people waiting in line. They have some kinks to work out...long wait time for food....45 min....but they just opened this week, so I'm sure they will figure it out. It's so nice to have a place to eat in town again.  Stop by and try it. We should do what we can to support it.
Happy eating!

I totally agree with RidgeRunner. We do need a restaurant in town. All I am saying is that Sam is not the one to own it or run it.
A debt to society does not mean a successful rehabilitation. This is my only issue with it. And my concern would also be for a protective environment for workers there.

Do you REALLY want this guy back in  town???  This venue is a valuable asset, but only valuable if it's backed by someone with moral integrity. I can eat my pancakes somewhere else.

General Discussion / Eye Center in Plattsburgh
« on: May 07, 2015, 01:43:58 PM »
Hello,
Has anyone here used the Eye Center in Platsburgh ?  We tried the Fletcher Allen Retinal specialist...not impressed! Did you know there are only 4 retinal specialists in VT? B3 HR wait times...cattle call approach. Terrible. BUT it's the same up north in NY I hear, but will try Platsburgh. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Merry Christmas to You Reverend Elizabeth and to your family. Is there a Christmas service at United Church?

Hey neighbors, Phil was a great help! I had a list of of things I needed done....especially moving pellet bags, lurking in storm door, moving a heavy air conditioner...best of all, what a nice guy. He's a volunteer fireman in town, and a National Guard. He's available during the day, which is great.

Thanks Phil!

General Discussion / Re: Bourne's Energy Price Quote
« on: September 22, 2014, 02:02:45 PM »
Yes, the price quoted me was 2.269. And I bought 1200 gal. Call the Swanton Office and speak to Nina. It is totally surprising that would goup that much in a week! Doesn't sound right.

General Discussion / Bourne's Energy Price Quote
« on: September 15, 2014, 11:40:07 AM »
Hello all,
I was planning on joining a fuel group like Ruth Clark's Fuel Group and looked at the pricing for 2014. . They contracted with Suburban..which lists 2.56/gal and Amerigas, was 2.86 or close to that. Then I called Bourne's , and I was quoted 2.269 gal. We own a 500 gal tank. So Bourne's was a much better deal. They also sell pellets , and they deliver and stack...of course for an extra fee. But I've used pellets from Home Depot, and find Bourne's Corinth Premium Brand to be superior. Lower ash than the Home Depot brand.

I hope this information helps you.
