I just "officially" met you at the book sale - sorry for your challenges, and I agree with Elizabeth - no need to apologize!! Hopefully the improving weather will help you feel better.

As I told you, I really appreciated and enjoyed the "what is it series,"   and your pics when you post them!

Thanks for putting this together!  It was a lot of fun to follow along:)

When you consider a teacher's day, please consider the hours spent at home grading papers and preparing lessons for the next day.  Most of the teachers I know spend hours each night and some time on the weekends getting ready to deliver a quality education to their students.

The case for civility in kindly and thoughfully expressing one's opinions is beautifully exemplified on this thread - kudos to all.

Whoa, counselor... nicely done, and a very important point to make.

“I choose to believe that full day kindergarten is beneficial.”  I will support the school budget, as I do each year.

Thanks Chirs and Josh for the information and the offers of help.  What about a community meeting?  Can we organize neighborhood watches?  How does one define a neighborhood in Fairfax?  We always lock our doors, but we also live on a street where many or all of the neighors are at work during the day.  Frankly, it makes me very nervous too, having been a victim of theft prior to living here.  I feel for the author of the orginial post and for the others who have been violated.  I love this town and community and would enjoy seeing a rally of support and watch!

I am a newbie to this forum and wanted to express my appreciation for all of the thoughtful comments in this thread.  Our ideals and political representations may be different, but certainly we are a town with a great many caring people in it!  I am proud to live in Fairfax!!

I'm sorry to disagree with everyone, but I love Comcast!  On the few occasions that I've had a problem, the folks with customer service have been extremely kind and helpful!  They have needed to "reset" and they stay on the phone with me for the few moments that it takes for this to happen.  I've been very pleased.
