Current News & Events / Town Picture to be Taken at 250 Birthday Party
« on: August 11, 2013, 04:41:09 PM »
Fairfax Fire Department Ladder 1 will be at Fairfax's 250th Birthday Party on August 18th for Lt. Dave Raymond to extend the ladder and take a picture of all the people at the party.

The Town of Fairfax will celebrate it’s 250th Birthday on Sunday  August 18th, 2013 at 6pm with a Birthday Party on the front lawn of BFA-Fairfax . In case of rain, the event will be held in the Elementary Gym. The party is being held 250 years to the day that New Hampshire Governor Benning Wentworth chartered the town.
The party is being sponsored by the Fairfax Historical Society and is a free event. The Society will provide the ice cream and drinks. We would like to invite the public and residents to bake and decorate cakes to bring and share at the party. The cakes may be decorated however the baker wants, but must have a theme of Happy Birthday Fairfax. Pictures will be taken of bakers and their cakes for historical purposes. However, whatever cake is leftover, will be taken home by the baker.
The Party starts off with a couple of speeches, followed by a concert by the Fairfax-Fletcher-Westford Band. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
For more information, please call 849-6638.

General Discussion / Re: 3 wheeler

I am coming along slowly. After a week of doing hardly anything, I am trying to be more active this week. Went over to watch the fire dept. hose test. Saw some guys, took some pictures. A real shot in the arm. Took Jose for a small walk Monday. Coming along slowly but I will get there!

August 18th, 1763, New Hampshire Governor Benning Wentworth chartered land in northern Vermont, setting up boundaries and called the new town Fairfax.
On August 18th, 2013, 250 years to the day. the Town of Fairfax will celebrate it's 250th birthday with a party on the front lawn of BFA-Fairfax. In case of rain, the event will be held in the elementary gym.
The event starts at 6pm.
The event starts off with a couple of speeches, then the Fairfax-Fletcher-Band will have a concert as cake and ice cream will be served.
The Fairfax Historical Society will provide the ice cream and drinks. We are asking the public will provide the cakes. We are asking people who are coming to the party to make a cake and decorate it however you want with the theme of Happy Birthday Fairfax.
We ask that you do not go to a supermarket or Costco to get a huge cake, because what ever is left over, you are taking it home. Just make a birthday cake you would make for a family birthday. Pictures will be taken with the cakes and their bakers for historical purposes.
The event is free. You will not have to pay for cake, ice cream, or drinks.

Current News & Events / Re: Mike Cain Coming Home Today!
« on: July 16, 2013, 01:15:07 PM »
Home Health was here for the first time today. They will come to draw blood for lab work on Wednesday morning for a few weeks. Saves me finding a ride to St. Albans. We need to make sure the Fairfax select board adds money for them to next year's budget at Town Meeting. You never know when you might need them.
