Current News & Events / Cast your Ballot

Ballots for the General Election to be held on November 8th are now available at the Town Clerk’s office on Buck Hollow Road.  Any registered voter can request a ballot by phone, mail or on line (clerk@fairfax-vt.gov).  You may also cast your ballot at the town clerk’s office if you do not want to take it home.  If you have questions about the process call the town office (849-6111).
Not a registered voter yet?  You may register at the town office between now and November 2nd at 5:00 pm.  Again, call the town office for more information. 
Remember, every vote is important.

Current News & Events / Egg Run A Success

Kudos to the EGG RUN organizers and their team.  Everything co-operated, including the weather (a little humid) and the event went very smoothly.  We have a lot of talented and hard working people in town.

Congratulations to all the runners and walkers, and Thank You for your support of the Rec Committee projects.

To keep everyone safe the Sunday morning service at the United Church of Fairfax will be cancelled tomorrow.
The special Christmas music will be part of next week's service.

Our Candlelight Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday evening.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Announcements / New Face at the United Church of Fairfax

The United Church of Fairfax (the church on the corner) has called Reverend Katherine Arthaud to be our permanent part-time pastor.  Katherine lives in Charlotte and also serves as the pastor of the church in Westford.  All are welcome to join us at 10:00 am each Sunday morning for our worship service and Sunday School.

Current News & Events / Annual Nondenominational Thanksgiving Service

Everyone is welcome to attend the Nondenominational Thanksgiving Service at the United Church of Fairfax Sunday, November 24th at 7:00 pm.

Reverend Walter Mahany and Father Henry Furman will conduct the service.  A coffee hour will follow.

The United Church of Fairfax will hold a Sunrise Service at 6:30 am tomorrow morning at the Bellows Farm on the top of the hill on Route 104. 
The regular Sunday morning service with special music and communion will be held at 9:45 am on the corner of Fletcher and River Roads.

All are welcome.

The United Church of Fairfax will hold its weekly 9:45 AM church service at the Baptist Building during the month of July.  Everyone is welcome to join us for worship.

Announcements / We're trying something different

The worship service time for the Fairfax United Church will change to 9:45 am on Sunday, April 10th.  Sunday school will continue to be at the same time as the worship service - 9:45 am.  Childcare will also be available.

Sunrise Service at 6:00 am on April 24th will be held at the Bellows Farm overlooking the mountain with the regular Easter Service to be held at 9:45 am.

Announcements / Changes coming at the United Church

Members, friends and community members are invited to participate in a Focus Group discussion at the United Church (church on the corner) Sunday, March 20th at 12:00 noon.  Bring your lunch and join us for a discussion about what our future in the community is.

Watch for an announcement about the new time for the Sunday morning service to begin in April.

Announcements / Community Cafe - Good food - Good conversation

The Fairfax United Church will hold its monthly Community Cafe meal at 5:00 pm in the basement of the "church on the corner" Thursday, February 17th. Come and join us for good food, and good conversation.  All are welcome.  Free will offering.

Reverend Walter Mahany will be conducting the Sunday morning services at 10:45 am at the United Church.  Reverend Mahany lives in St. Albans and is a member of the Fairfax Community theater group. 

Sunday, February 6th and February 13th from 12:00 to 1:00 focus groups will meet to discuss the future of the United Church.  Bring your lunch and join us for an important discussion.
