State approves proposed school merger in Fletcher and Fairfax

The Vermont Department of Education has approved a proposed merger between the Fletcher and Fairfax school districts, setting the stage for a Nov. 8 vote on the proposal in the two towns.

now if we can just get the school closed here then we will have to vote in fairfax where civil people are allowed to vote most of the day

Some good news for you Rod!

If the merger is approved by both towns and adopted, a requirement of the merger is that the budget vote be by Australian ballot since both towns would be voting on the number (as if we were one town).

i think we need to merge fletcher and fairfax as one and call it fairtax
