Casella has developed a comprehensive website specifically for Fairfax residents to use as a resource for all things recycling, composting and Act 148!  Check it out!


Residents can view the A-Z recycling list to see what goes in their recycling bins/totes, what options are available for diverting food scraps (mandatory per Act 148 for everyone in VT in 2020!), and dates for Household Hazardous Waste events.

The website also features options for construction and demolition (C&D) contractors for waste generated on job sites that comply with Act 148 and Act 175.
