Looks like I missed a great event. I love the walking sticks. Does anyone know who the vendor was and where I can get them?

Make sure to do something "wild and crazy" as a tribute to your mom.  I'll be thinking of you guys and Maryann.

Congratulations Mary Kay!! So how many "take me, take me" have you received so far?  I'm sure Jaz would be thrilled as she moves today and starts her new job on Monday and she's already there.

I don't live in Fairfax, but have visited many times as Henry (uncle), Theresa (aunt) and Agnes (mom) are obviously relatives. Every time I drive through Fairfax, someone is waving to me. Not sure if they actually know who I am or just know that I'm a Raymond or think I'm my mother (as people tell me we look very much alike), but what I do know is Fairfax is without a doubt the friendliest town I know.

I understand about the being violated feeling. My car was broken into one night at my home. They emptied the glove compartment and center console and just threw everything around my car. I had a large jar that I put my change in and they emptied that all over the car. I had a ton of pennies in the jar along with a little bit of silver coins. It was an eerie feeling getting in the car knowing that someone else I had in there going through all my stuff.

St. Albans lost power as well.  On my way into work at 7a, the clock at the Citizens Bank said it was 3:45; I almost turned around and went back to bed.

When I drive up Fletcher Road, I don't recognize it anymore. New houses springing up, old structures being torn down -- its very sad to see the old landmarks I grew up with disappearing, but none as sad as when they tore down Grandpa's barn and then the old milk house and shed several years later.

You'd think we'd be able to scan this photo into a computer and find the results. I would love to have identification software as standard equipment like windows on all computers.

I think I know where WPTZ got their information from -- the website for VTrans (www.511vt.com) is currently saying:

Vermont 104: from VT 128 to VT 15
paving operations -- until August 31
Comment: the contractor anticipates starting this project on
April 23rd. More information to follow.

     last updated April 9

The last line is the most important.  So I would tend to believe Chris' information more than the website.

I briefly heard something on the Channel 3 news this morning about Melissa's Closet.  Melissa Jenkin's sister opened a store in her honor and is donating prom dresses to needy teenagers.  Don't know all the details.

You said it.  Over the years I have had a few fender benders with my cars but I have never been driving when I receive them except for my very first accident when I was 18 and that was due to total distraction by my dog.  All my other "accidents" have happened when my car is sitting still.

I remember that stationwagon very well, as that was the vehicle you had when you came to tow my VW Bug with a stiff hitch when I was stuck on the side of the interstate in Springfield and then someone hit the Bug while you were towing it around Barre. Totalled my Bug...is that why you had to get rid of the stationwagon?

Ever since I made a 1" high cake when I was younger and a few brave but failed attempts since; I am the family member that is designated to bring the soda or plain vegetables.  Big Sigh ... I'm okay with my shortcomings because I am also the entertainer of the gatherings.  We can't all be good at everything.

Henry -- that's an awesome picture of the place, but it doesn't even start to cover what was set up in the backyard. And thanks for the suggestions, I don't think we've gone in that direction in a few years.
