Foliage Pictures of the Day

A close-up of the foliage on Buck Hollow Road early Saturday morning.

Sunrise was still happening. You can see where the sun was hitting the trees.

Bad timing. Anthony had just been talking with Justin Harris and his dad, Kendall, and I snapped the picture when Anthony turned to walk away.

Mike,

Have you guys tried running those cars on snow and ice in the winter?
I guess studding the tires would be needed but I bet that would be fun.

Here is what some nuts do up here in February downtown.
The Fur Rondy Grand Prix.

They do this down by our main office.
It doesn't look like it, but they really mess up the roads for this event.
It is an event to get to the office that Thursday and Friday before the race.

There is ice racing over in New Hampshire. I know there are a couple of large ponds that are used. And I have seen write-ups in a local racing paper, called Racin' Paper, that feature pictures from the races, and some have involved a sprint car or two.
