Friday night January 17, 1941, a crowd gathered at the old Grange Hall on Main Hill for a basketball game between BFA-Fairfax and Milton. The girls game was first, then the boys game. During the boys game, someone came running in and hollered that the school was on fire. The game ended, as everyone went running out of the building.
