Filling up your gas tank is starting to drain your wallet again.
Gas prices are at levels not seen since the heat of the summer driving season.
According to AAA, gas prices jumped $.20-a-gallon in the past two weeks to a national average of $2.67.
Vermont's average price for a gallon of regular is slightly higher at $2.72. The most expensive gas is in Lowell at $2.85, compared to a state-wide low of $2.60 in Rutland. Vermont appears to have escaped the $.20 two-week climb; prices rose about $.10 over the past two weeks.
The last time I got gas was on October 14th and I paid $2.589 at Nans. I did notice the other day however that the price was up, but can't remember what it was. I need to fill up again and by the sounds of things, the sooner the better with the rising prices. Thank God I no longer commute to work with two cars.
