He was at our house yesterday on Shepardson Hollow playing with our dog. I will grab him if I see him again.

Nice work! Just curious how we go about getting reimbursed for the damage he caused. I assume it would be through his auto insurance, if he even has auto insurance.

If you want to stop by our house, we can give you the pieces we have as well. Thank you for doing this!

I think we're headed in the wrong direction with the Escort. My husband was leaving for work, heading up Shepardson Hollow this morning and one of our neighbors was pulling out of his driveway with a maroon Toyota Tacoma with extensive damage to the front drivers side, including a missing headlight. When my husband was putting up our new mailbox stand yesterday, he found maroon car parts to match. He will be calling the sheriff this morning.

Sounds like a cruise around the high school parking lot looking for a red escort with a missing headlight wouldn't hurt.

I also signed up with them and have heard nothing.

Does anyone know if it's too late to sign my son up for T-Ball and who to contact?
Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Are The Moles Getting To You This Year???
« on: April 29, 2014, 11:46:05 AM »
I've been told to tackle the grub/japanese beetle problem first since that is what moles like to feed on. Using milky spores to slowly kill the grubs (1-3 years) will make the moles go elsewhere to feed. I have not done this myself so I can't confirm that it works firsthand, but I've heard success stories. Good Luck!

Our big garbage bin disappeared with the trash pick-up last week. Is this something that they would take??

Current News & Events / Re: Accident Intersection Shepardson & Fletcher Rd
« on: November 22, 2013, 09:55:14 AM »
All the accidents I've seen in the past few years have been from someone pulling off of Shepardson without stopping or looking. Most instances the other vehicle is headed toward Fairfax center, not coming from over the hill. I do agree the hill is pretty dangerous when trying to pull onto Fletcher from Swamp Rd though. A four way stop would be awful in my eyes....more excuse to do burn-outs and wake my kids up! I'm just waiting for the day our fence gets taken out!

Another person not paying attention at that intersection. My husband saw it out our window and ran over. Seems everyone was fine. A young woman either ran the stop at Shepardson or just pulled out in front of the other vehicle. There was quite a "thump" noise. Same noise that we heard when the fatality happened earlier this year. I often wonder what can be done to make this intersection less dangerous, the reduction in the speed limit did nothing. I wish we had know what a bad intersection it was before we bought our house!! Live and learn.

Thanks, Nancy. We already tried there. Not a good fit.

General Discussion / Childcare Needed
« on: September 09, 2013, 07:18:38 PM »
My husband and I are having one heck of a time finding childcare for our 21 month old son! We are looking for a small home daycare (registered or not) MWF or even just MF. We live off of Fletcher Rd and drive through Underhill to drop our 3 year old off at preschool, so somewhere around that route would be perfect. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
