Well, I am not an early riser, but around 8 a.m. this morning, even though the sun was shining brightly, there was definitely a frost.  I set my thermometer on memory last night and it said that the temperature got down to 33 degrees, which means that 7 feet lower, near the ground and away from the house, it definitely froze.  Remember this very well when I used to have a garden and spent many an evening when I got home from my second shift job around midnight covering up the garden veggies subject to a frost.  Always planned on September 10th as Frost Night, so looks like we did a little better this year, especially in the Frost Pocket where I live.

When I drove up to Fletcher the other night, I noticed the beautiful little shed behind the Stone House that I think Dave Day built.  Absolutely beautiful and Barb, who is a master gardener has some beautiful flowers up there.  Hopefully they are hardy plants as I didn't get a chance to get a photo of them yet.

Ok, so fall is here, lets enjoy it.
