I work for a company contracted to ICE-DHS, at the the Fugitive Operations Support Center. Us contractors get moved around less than the government people fortunately.

I work at a Homeland Security facility in Williston, and one way in which they like to waste us taxpayers' money is to shift people around in different cubicles, for no apparent reason. Some people have been moved 3 or 4 times in the year that I've been here!
Copying the "favorites" (or "bookmarks" in Firefox) HTML file is one trick we've learned to lessen the disruption.

Rod is a delicate flower.
I used to play Diablo I over dial-up with one of my local friends. It was occasionally choppy, but not too bad for the most part.

You've got me there. As a proud computer-geek, I should be ashamed!

If there were a smaller building there, it would be a lot safer coming out from Maple St to Main St. Oncoming traffic in the right lane cant see emerging cars around the corner of the building, and vice-versa. When we moved to Maple St, I decided very quickly that I would avoid making that turn whenever possible. Instead I go through the covered bridge and loop back around to Main.

I dont really know you Josh, but best wishes! Tire-tracks on the road are vandalism? To me that is a little far-fetched. Yeah, people were being jerks with the burn-outs, but as long as my roads are in good useable condition, I really dont care what they look like, as I consider them inherently ugly to begin with. Like a scar across the verdant (or snowy) landscape. But they are vital to have...until we finally are able to buy flying cars.

I almost forgot, but luckily I drive by the school on the way to the Interstate, so I stopped in and cast my ballot. It was a good reason to be late to work.

We've been downloading and watching stuff on our Netflix queue through our Wii game system. It doesnt cost any more than we were already paying for Netflix. Not everything from Netflix is available for download, but about half of the things we have on our queue are. Very handy!

I can recognize 4 of them by sight...not too bad I suppose.
Deb Markowitz is actually the cousin of one of my best friends from childhood.
I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet.

I assume we should have received our bill by now, but we havent seen anything in the mail. We just bought the house in April, so maybe that is the problem. Who should I contact?

Molly, if they are deliberately doing things right in front of your house in apparent attempts to annoy you specifically, then I would think it is something that law-enforcement can get involved in. I dont know if that would fall under harrassment, stalking, or simply distrurbing the peace, but I would say give either the sherrif or state police a call.

I always thought that having a law-enforcement position be an elected one was a relatively bad idea. I dont think peace officers should be politicians, and I dont like them running as members of a certain party. To me it seems like a remnant of earlier times.
Does anyone have a good rationale why it is this way?

It doesnt sound like to me that your husband chasing them around is a good idea, especially if you dont really know the people very well. Something like that could escalate into an out-of-control situation.
I live on Maple St, and feel the same way about people speeding down the road and over the covered bridge. I explored the idea of getting speed bumps, and Chris Santee brought it up at a Selectboard meeting, but it turns out the town would be liable for any damage caused to cars that went too fast over the speed-bumps! Seem like a pretty ridiculous way for the law to work...

Is there a reason to plant sunflowers amongst corn (as in something symbiotic), or did they just happen to grow there?
We planted our sunflowers a bit late so they arent more than 4' high right now.
