Winter Storm Watch For Western Franklin County

Winter storm watch in effect from Tuesday morning through wednesday evening.

The NWS in burlington has issued a winter storm watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through wednesday evening, for the entire north country.
 
Snow will become widespread over northern New York and Vermont on tuesday and persist through much of Wednesday. The snow may be heavy at times Tuesday night and may possibly be mixed with some sleet over south central Vermont. The widespread precipitation will be the result of a low pressure system tracking from the Ohio valley into the gulf of Maine. Given the longer duration of snowfall and expected track of the surface low, the potential for 6 or more inches of snow will exist with this event.
