I was looking at an older topographic map and noticed it showed a quarry on Huntville road, almost near the intersection of Woodard Rd, and another around the corner on Woodard Rd.

Anyone know what they were and when they operated?

Kind of in my backyard, just curious...

I remember when I was younger there was an equipment shed right on the corner of huntville and woodward. It was located in the area where that big house sits now.  It burnt down probably 15-16 years ago I don't know who ran it but there is still a gravel pit back there across from the barn.  I bet Henry will know who owned and operated it.

Leonard Tabor owned that - His son Sid did excavating work and actually dug my cellar and put in my Septic Tank.  Leonard lived on the first farm on Tabor Hill Road.
