Subject: [MEDIANORTH] Search for Missing Person

Case #14A104393

Missing Person: David Mann
                         67 years old
                          Waterville, VT
White male, 6'3" tall, 205 lbs, blue eyes with short grey hair. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.

Place last seen: wooded area off Route 109 approximately 3 miles north of Belvidere Center, VT.

Date and time last seen: 10/01/2014 at 1930 hours.

On 10/01/2014 at approximately 2000 hours VT Fish and Game were notified of a lost person who was part of a moose hunting party. David Mann had apparently went into the woods to assist family with a moose they had harvested. David left the group intending to make his way back to his ATV and then travel back to his residence. When the group came out of the woods they discovered that David Mann hadn't made it out of the woods. Further investigation revealed that his ATV was still where he had left it.

Fish and Game initiated a search for David Mann and contacted the Vermont State Police. The Vermont State Police Search and Rescue team responded to help organize a search. Customs and Border Patrol fixed wing air craft responded and searched the area. A Vermont State Police K9 team also responded and searched the area where David Mann was last seen walking away from the group. Belvidere Fire Department was contacted and responded to the seen for assistance.

As of 10/02/2014 at 0400 hours David Mann remains missing and search efforts continue.

If you have information regarding David Mann's whereabouts please contact the Vermont State Police.
