Good thoughts Mike, after watching the shootout the other night, and seeing the way those cars are bouncing around, I thenk the winner is going to be the most patient guy who survives. i will predict a record number of yellows, with either Matt Kensith , or Jeff Burton bringing home the checkered.

I was visiting in the summer(the day of the egg run ) and stopped in with my litle guy Jackson, he thought it was pretty cool to be going in to a church to get a candy bar. very sad day, I spent alot of time (and money) there in the 80's. glad no one was hurt.

My freshman year December 8th 1980, John Lennon shot. He shut down class for a real learning experience. Really made us all think about life way outside the box. I will never forget that day, because of John Lennon, and will always remember where I was because of Mr. Hancox. I feel very fortunate to have gone to school in Fairfax, the education aside I was very fortunate to have had some of the greatest teaching possible. My thanks to all , Barbara King, John Gillis, Mike Mahoney, Ernest Codding , Bruce Patterson, Gary Gilbert, Dave Clark, Steve Lynch (god he made me run a lot), Bruce McRea, Elaine Furman, Chauncey Eldridge, Eleanore Berry, Janice Jeffords Bernie Kuhn, Pam Jarvis, Susan Eddy, Kevin ( I think Hebert?) I am sure i have forgotten someone and I am sorry, but Fairfax was the best thing that ever happend to me. I have a very good friend who moved there and his words were, and I quote. "COULD NOT HAVE MOVED TO A BETTER PLACE". Nough said

I guess you would still call it St Albans, but don't forget about Bayside pavilion down at the bay when i was in VT at the end of July spent a good amount of time there, food was good portions big, and very friendly, its been around a long time, I am sure there were quite a few from my school era 80-84 who spent some time there in the later 80's when it was just strictly a bar. new ownership turned it around, and made it very nice, the Owner is also something of an antique nut and has some very interesting pieces in the restaurant. Next time your in the area i would recommend checking it out.

Henry wishing you and Maryann all the best I hope someday to look back on this date (as it is my 7th anniversary with my wife Heather) and see the same fulfilment you have seen with your family. I remember it rained all morning and the sky opened up in the afternoon, a big ol Cow Mooed as Heather walked down the asile so all the Vermonters present were made to feel at home. all in all a great day. God bless Henry and Maryann
