General Discussion / Re: Snack survey in Fairfax?« on: July 01, 2011, 11:15:36 PM »
So much for the friendly town of Fairfax. Gimme a break - answering the door with a gun, circling around to someone's "flank" all because they have the nerve to knock on your door. Tell them you're not interested in what they are selling and if you think something's questionable report the person to the police.

That savings won't be passed on to the consumer. I'd love to see the news story where CVPS requests a rate reduction from the Public Service Board!

General Discussion / Roof Repair or Replacement« on: May 26, 2011, 05:33:27 AM »
I am in need of a new roof and was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation for someone local. I'm not sure if we are going to do shingles again or put on a metal roof. Please reply here or message me. Thanks!

The gov't spends $125 BILLION more per month than it takes in! That sounds sustainable. How can these people not realize there is a problem that needs to be solved NOW?

A couple of links for info on fiddleheads:

I don't think it should be an option. I think it should be installed and the convicted driver should still have to pay the costs. A person can easily drive with a suspended license. It happens all the time.

Can someone please tell me why we are doing this?
http://blogs.burlingtonfreepress.com/politics/2011/04/18/vermont-gov-peter-shumlin-will-sign-national-popular-vote-bill-friday-%C2%90/ Is there a reason that Vermont has decided to go against the framer of the Constitution? 56
Political Issues/Comments / Re: Welch fights EPA bill« on: April 07, 2011, 09:55:38 PM »
The energy bill that supposedly bans incandescent bulbs was signed into law by Bush in 2007 not Obama. And it doesn't ban the bulbs it just sets standards for the energy used by a bulb. There are already incandescent bulbs out there that meet this standard.

I have had to replace each of the springs on my garage doors and each time have installed the safety wire. J&L always has these springs in stock!

Political Issues/Comments / Re: Full-Day Kindergarten Snuck in Budget Without Advance Public Notice« on: February 17, 2011, 12:59:26 AM »
Is there anyone from the School Board who is on this forum that can reply to any of this conversation? Hearing from a Board Member to support why the Board wants to add full-day kindergarten would be interesting.
