The White Stripes

Meg and Jack White

THE WHITE STRIPES
Posted for Monday April 20th..........................

Just finished listening to some songs by The White Stripes.
The first time I listened to their album, "Elephant", I was thinking that if I was 13 or 15 years old, and heard that album, I would be begging my parents for an electric guitar so I could play like Jack White.
A very simple group. Meg plays drums, Jack guitar. Some songs are complex, musically like "Black Math". Others are very simple, like "Fell in Love With A Girl", and "Hardest Buttion to Button". "Seven Nation Army" flat out rocks.
They used to be married. Strange relationship. Early on, Jack used to introduce Meg as "My sister".
Jack also does a side project called The Raconteurs.
I wish I was musically inclined, but I am not. I have tried strumming an acoustic guitar, but I don't have the coordination in my fingers.
At one time we used to have a piano. All I could play was horror music.
I can play my CD and that's it.
