This week at the library summer vacation gets into full swing: We are setting up our mini science fair to explore water and float/sink theories. No preschool story hour this week but *next* week we'll have "Watery Worlds" stories, and a story hour every Tuesday morning during the month of July. Tomorrow (Tuesday) from 1:30 - 3:00 we have LCATV Young Producers for ages 8 - 10. Kids will make a PSA about the library, and they get to keep the DVD they make. Sign-up and permission slip required. On Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:00 we have READ to a Dog, for ages 5 - 10 (kids read aloud for 15 minutes to a fuzzy, friendly dog to enhance reading skills- pre-registration a must!). Thursday evening starting at 6:30 it's the Traveling Storyteller presenting Beauty and the Beast to officially kick-off the summer reading program!! This will be held in the BFA-Fairfax multi-purpose room. All welcome!!
Next week we have kaleidoscope making on Monday afternoon, preschool story hour Tuesday morning, water clocks Tuesday evening, ... and see us in the parade on the 4th!!
