Citizens for Fairfax Community, Inc. (CFC)
12/15/10 Meeting Minutes:


HEADLINES:
▪   This brief business meeting was convened primarily to elect Board officers for the coming year. The following were elected by unanimous vote:
o   President: Susie Posner Jones
o   Vice-president: Katrina Antonovich
o   Treasurer: Barbara Duval
o   Secretary: Mark Hunziker
▪   Our thanks go to those who took on and fulfilled the extra responsibilities as officers in the past year –Susie, Peggy Bushey, Barb, and Mark –and welcome to Katrina.
▪   Thanks also to all the other members of the Board of Trustees and many, many other community members for their help and support over the past year, without which our significant progress toward creating a Community Center would not have been possible.
▪   Happy Holidays and have a great 2011!

      

Called to order: 7:57 PM
In attendance: Barb Duval,* Katrina Antonovich,* Doug Stuart,* Eda Kirkpatrick,* Mark Hunziker,* Mary Taylor,* Elizabeth Griffin,* and Trevor Russell* (* indicates Trustees)

Reports:
▪   The Board-meeting minutes of Sept 28, 2010 were approved unanimously. (Moved by Liz, seconded by Barb.)
▪   Treasurer Barb reported that the CFC account balance is unchanged. She has also sent completed paperwork to Preservation Trust regarding the dispersal of their grant, and confirmed that no reporting is required this year to the VT Secretary of State office.
▪   Katrina and Mark reported that Suzie is still hoping that the grant application can be submitted in time for consideration in February, despite some minor bumps in the road.
▪   Eda’s sister has received the images she needs for designing the logo, and hopes to have it done in the next month or so.

Election of officers:
▪   Mark noted the need to spread the work around as much as possible and not assume that officers will always take on “ex officio” responsibilities.
▪   By a unanimous vote (moved by Mark and seconded by Mary) the following officers were elected to one-year terms:
o   President: Susie Posner Jones
o   Vice-president: Katrina Antonovich
o   Treasurer: Barbara Duval
o   Secretary: Mark Hunziker

Meeting adjourned: 7:12 PM

Next Meeting: Wed Jan 19, 6:30 PM at the Hunzikers’ home
